James Coleman
Project 2 - Sequencing
This song is called "Ten Feet Tall" by Afrojack, and follows an ABCABCDBCC pattern (A-Verse, B-Pre Chorus, C-Chorus, D-Bridge). It features automation of pitch bend, modulation wheel, volume, and panning.
This screenshot displays the entire piece with all of its components. In the edit window on the left, you can see the names of the individual parts as well as labels indicating how the MIDI tracks have modified in the piece. Things like volume, mod wheel, pitch bend, and panning have been automated to create more movement and variation within the piece. Every track has had its attack, decay, release, and cutoff as well as the size and shape of the "hall" altered in order to add re-verb effects to the parts.
This screenshot shows that the "Supersmooth" synthesizer on the Xpand! plugin has been doubled with French Horns. Additionally, the two tracks have been panned to opposite sides in order to create a wider sound, while adding more support to this instrumental part.
